BECOMINGAWARE

Domestic violence and sex trafficking are critical issues that affect millions of people worldwide. Understanding the full scope of these crimes, including how they extend beyond intimate partner relationships, is essential for creating meaningful change.

Domestic Violence:

  • 1 in 6 women and 1 in 19 men in the U.S. have experienced stalking, with many of these cases involving family members or caregivers rather than intimate partners. (National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey)

  • Around 10% of older adults aged 60 and over have experienced some form of abuse in the past year, with family members responsible for nearly 90% of elder abuse cases. (World Health Organization)

Sex Trafficking:

  • An estimated 24.9 million people worldwide are victims of forced labor, with 4.8 million of those being victims of forced sexual exploitation. (International Labour Organization)

  • In the U.S., over 23,500 trafficking victims were identified in 2022, with many cases involving victims being trafficked by family members or trusted individuals. (Polaris Project)

By becoming aware of the diverse ways these crimes manifest, we can better protect vulnerable individuals and work toward eradicating these forms of violence. Awareness is the first step toward action, and with your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected.

SONDAE ESPOSITO

My mission is deeply personal—it's born from my own journey through the darkness of domestic violence. I've felt the fear, the pain, and the suffocating silence. I refuse to let those experiences define me. Instead, they've ignited a fire within me to stand up, speak out, and be a beacon of hope for others.

Through 4 Rescue, I'm not just fighting against abuse and exploitation; I'm fighting for the survivors. I know firsthand the healing power of support and the importance of a helping hand during the darkest of times. This isn't just a cause to me; it's a calling—a calling to turn pain into purpose, fear into strength, and silence into a voice that roars for change.

Join me on this journey. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we are 4 Rescue.

OURMISSION

Not-for-profit organization driven by a singular mission: to rescue, support, and empower those affected by domestic violence and sex trafficking. We define domestic abuse as an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening, degrading, and violent behavior, including sexual violence, in the majority of cases by a partner or ex-partner, but also by a family member or caregiver.

Every dollar raised, every effort made, is a chance to fund rescue missions, provide safe havens, and offer critical support services to those who have been traumatized and marginalized. It's about turning the tide, one person at a time, until we eradicate these crimes from our society.

To achieve our mission, we need your support, your voice, and your commitment to stand with us. Together, we can shine a light on the dark corners where abuse and exploitation thrive. Together, we can be the voice for the voiceless and the hope for the hopeless.

"Sondae Who is the first person I spoke to about the horrible things that of happened throughout the years of my marriage to divorce and then onto my little girl being in trouble. She was kind enough to spend the time on the phone with me and understand the situation. I am a survivor of domestic violence however I only gained this cut knowledge after going to victims of domestic violence classes. Now my little girl is showing signs that she has been beaten up brutally and she’s not in my custody, it’s sickens me to no end that I tried to keep our family together with someone who was beating me in front of our child. Had it not been for these amazing people who helped me out greatly I don’t think I would be able to get my little girl back and make sure she’s healthy and safe. Words cannot describe how thankful I am, and I hope God blesses them every single day.!"

Sondae and her team were the reason I was able to get out of the bad situation I was in with my husband.  They helped me and my children get to a safe place and I have not looked back.  I am forever grateful.

“Sondae has always led with passion, conviction and experience. It is not without her, that I would've been able to get through my past abusive relationships. She has guided me, supported me and truly given everything she had to make sure my future changed for the better. I cannot express my gratitude. I am forever changed by my experience and relationship with Sondae. I am forever grateful, thankful and blessed. I am safe because of her and the efforts of her company. Thank you”
